2024 Boston Marathon Registration Now Open
Qualifying Window and Entry Deadlines
The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) is excited to announce that registration for the 128th running of the Boston Marathon, presented by Bank of America, is now open. The qualifying window for the 2024 race runs from September 1, 2022, through September 15, 2023. The online registration period will open on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM EST and close on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 5:00 PM ET.
Eligibility and Qualification Requirements
Runners who meet the qualifying standards for their age and gender can register for the Boston Marathon. The qualifying times for the 2024 race are available on the BAA website. Runners must submit proof of their qualifying time with their registration. Those who do not meet the qualifying standards can still participate in the race through the charity program.
Registration Fees and Lottery
The registration fee for the 2024 Boston Marathon is $235 for U.S. residents and $255 for international runners. A lottery system will be used to determine which runners are selected to participate in the race. Runners who register during the open registration period will be entered into the lottery. The lottery results will be announced in November 2023.
