Chelsea Hold on for a 3-2 Victory Against Brighton
Brighton Take the Lead
Chelsea took an early lead against high-flying Brighton, but Brighton's goals from Tariq Lamptey and Marc Cucurella put the Seagulls ahead before half-time. Chelsea's new signing, Joao Felix, equalized in the second half, but a late goal from Neal Maupay gave Brighton the win.
Chelsea Battle to a Win
Despite going down to 10 men after Cucurella was sent off in the first half, Chelsea fought back to win 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount gave Chelsea the win, and they now move back into the top six of the Premier League.
Pochettino's Preview
Mauricio Pochettino, the former Chelsea manager, previewed the match against Brighton in our 2023 pre-season USA Tour. Pochettino said that he expects a tough game, but he is confident that Chelsea can get the win.
